K Werner Color Challenge 15

One blog that I love to visit is Kristina Werner's. She has a simple style that I love and she makes
the cutest cards. Every week she posts a color challenge. Here is this weeks:

Since my husband is out of town and the kids are in bed, I decided to give it a try. Here is the first card I came
up with. I used my BoHo Background set and some of my sell-a-bration rub ons. I heart Stampin' Up rub-ons!
They are so easy to apply. I am a rub-on addict and these are some of the best.

I was having so much fun I decided to make another card. We are getting a new niece or nephew tomorrow
and that inspired the second card. I'm so excited to meet this new little miracle!!!

I got to use some of the yummy ribbon I found on clearance at Target. There were 5 rolls in a package with 4 feet on each roll. It's American Crafts ribbon and they were marked down to $2.48 each (so I HAD to buy 3 different ones). I think my ribbon addiction is catching up to my pattern paper one. I wish it was easier to see that I also used the alphabet background stamp from the I'm Here set too. It's stamped on the Choc. Chip with Cho. Chip ink. It looks cute in real life.

Yay! Pages!!

***Disclaimer - I cannot take credit for creating these layouts. They are from the stamp club that I belong to. I don't get to attend (it's usually during the day while I'm at work),
so I went to "catch up" night and made some of the layouts from the year. I added
pictures to two of them today and even adapted one to an 8 1/2 x 11. It felt good to be
creative. Thanks Mary Lynn for cute pages that inspire creativity!!

Need to add journaling to this page still, but I just love how the 4th of July photos came out :)

This was the valentine spread. I didn't have any valentine photos this year, so I adapted it to be for
Hayden's Senior Prom.

I think I will add journaling to this page, but I'm not sure. Maybe with a nice script font?
What do you think? I like the white space too, so I'm not sure. I feel like it's important to tell the story........hmmmmmm, just don't know yet.

This is the Splish Splash page in 8 1/2 x ll. I made one for Amanda's book and another one with different photos but the same layout for Marcus' book.
Thanks for looking!!

Happy 4th of July!

I found a few minutes this last week to make a couple of cards.
My son went to a "Patriotic Pool Party" for a friend's birthday so he wanted me to make
a red, white and blue birthday card. This is what we came up with.

I just love the Stampin' Up "Bugs and Kisses" set.
It was fun making it in patriotic colors. It didn't show up in the
photo too well, but the little potato bug ("rolly Polly" to us)
is in red on the bottom row.

While I was playing around I decided to make a simple
4th of July card too.

Totally quick and easy, and I was so happy I had those little
gold star buttons. It was nice to make a quick card that
didn't require too much brain power!

Happy 4th of July!!!!!!!!!!!!!
